We are travelling into the void of tenbury and playing Dan Harris's party next friday, so I was wrong, that will be Moose's first appearance with us. It will be awesome though.

After that, we will be recording tracks for our new EP, including new material we've written with Moose that is coming along great. We'll be giving this one away too, not only on the internet but giving away physical copies at gigs etc. Other than that we are still busy getting an ideal set for the summer, writing and rewriting and going nuts over it. Come to our gig supporting Flashguns on 15th July at the Jailhouse and you'll hear all our new stuff, and hopefully get a cheeky free EP! Did i mention our favourite tenburys don't look now are playing? Heres da postar.

A new member

We're proud to welcome Tom Mosely into the band, playing synth. We've been practising with him for a couple of weeks and it sounds awesome. His first show with us will be supporting Flashguns at the Jailhouse on 15th June. This should be the first gig where we play a proper set, with new songs and the old songs are improved and sound thoroughly epic as a result.

Happenings

So a few things have happened since I last wrote on this...

Rogues gig went well, wasn't particuarly busy, but we went down fairly well.

We played a session on bbc hereford and worcester's friday session, which went down really well, we had some nice comments texted in, so thanks whoever did that! Unfortunately the show isnt up on the bbc website anymore, but I'll try and find a way to make it available to download...

We've also had the first of our airplay, most notably on BBC 6Music, with Tom Robinson. We were pretty fucking ecstatic.

Next gig is at jailhouse on 27th april, and we have a few more shows in the pipelines for this summer, including a festival slot or two!

More radio

On the 3rd of April we are going to be doing a live set on BBC Hereford and Worcester's 'The Friday Session'. We'll play a few songs and do a short interview which will be fun. I'll probably record it and stick it on the myspace for you to download, so keep an eye out around then.

Gig number 2 is tomorrow, supporting Rogues at the Jailhouse...


Sam's pedalboard has more than doubled in size, and I'll be playing the odd bit of keyboard, as well as the geetar.

We're gonna record again soon, maybe plan a proper first EP, for a proper release. I'd fucking love to do a 7" release, but this may be a tad too ambitious. Still, we're gonna keep writing, and improving on all our current songs.

First Post

Oh Hallo thar.

I've decided to set up this blog to just keep a diary of Ken Winston happenings and stuff. We will hopefully have a fair bit happening from now on. It all starts from here.

We've just recorded for the first time, and we are really happy with the tracks. You can hear one of these on the myspace, it's unmixed but we'll have the proper, mixed version up soon.

We also have artwork. Which looks awesome.

Our first gig is next friday (20th) at the grapes. In the cellar. Fuck yeah. Expect to be deafened with beatz and some of the phattest synth from two white kids you ever heard.
